Frequently Asked Questions
What time are Classes held?
Classes begin at 9:00am for all grades and parents are required to stay for the first hour of classes.

Because we adhere to Mason's principles of age appropriate lesson times our lower grades complete morning lessons and release eariler then our upper grades. Release times are as follows:

Grades 1-3 finish at 12:30
Grades 4-6 finish at 1:30
Grades 7-8 finish at 2:30
What days do you meet?
Classes are held on Tuesdays and Fridays each week with breaks for holidays.
Why do parents have to stay for the first hour of class?
We have found that because we are a hybrid model it is complicated to teach math and reading in a way that honors each student’s individual progress in those subjects without too much burden being placed on parent and student to "keep up" with hybrid days. Our solution is to provide parents time with students at each grade level to work in those subjects. This way you are able to work at their individual pace without the burn-out of trying to fit reading and math in before or after a long day.
What do I do with my non school age children during math and reading?
You can have little ones tag along as you teach or you can let them enjoy our morning play group while you get some alone time to teach your older students.
What do I do while I wait to teach math and reading?
You can enjoy our play group and get to know other parents while you wait for your students grade level to have parent taught lessons.
Can I choose not to do reading and math so I don't have to stay?
We hope to offer a Study Hall option for parents that cannot stay to teach reading and math to their students. But we do not have the teacher power to allow this yet. If you or someone you know is interested in joining our teaching team so we can offer more options to our families please check out our teacher job availabilites on our Facebook page.
What classes are you offering for each grade level?
The current class schedule can be found under education - classes.
When do classes start?
Classes will run from August - May. Current Calendar available under education - calendar.

Do we have to use the Alveary at home?
No. You are not required to use the Alveary at home; however, joining our hybrid school will not only give you access to use the Alveary curriculum in its entirety, but we also offer planning services to help you create an at-home plan tailored to your family’s needs using the fullness of the Alveary program to seamlessly work with what is being taught on hybrid days.
If I become a teacher or teacher aid what do I do with my younger children?
Teachers and teacher aids will have provided child care for littles that are under the age of 6 when needed. If you prefer to have your very young baby/toddler with you in the classroom we can work to accomodate that. We want all of our teachers to feel confident in giving the love and attention to their littles as well as teaching our students, but also want to protect the peaceful atmosphere of our learning enviroment.
Where do you meet?
We meet at The Anglican Church of the Holy Trinity, located at 160 Merovan Drive, North Augusta, SC.
